Our client

Ciposa SA is a company active in industrial automation and specialized in the development and manufacturing of high-performance hi-tech modular equipment in the watchmaking, medical and electronic industries. This SME wished to develop a user interface allowing to control a machine via an industrial PC. This interface had to be available via a Web browser, but without the use of plug-ins like Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight.

Talk to me's proposal focused on an ergonomic study and the provision of an HTML5 graphic kit allowing the client to be autonomous when creating new screens.

The Beckhoff industrial PC being the central control unit, the choice fell on an architecture using a "full javascript" stack for the development of the web application.

A nodeJS server is installed on the Beckhoff industrial PC which acts as an application server. On the client side, AngularJS was used to develop a "single page" web application.
